C60

The ultimate Colnago symbolizing over 60 years of frame building with the most technological approach is the carbon race bike C60.  Perhaps no other racing bike has the prestige of the C60 and it is the latest version of a Colnago carbon frame built with lugs.  The construction method blends carbon tubes specially drawn into star shape into carbon lugs achieving perfect balance and the ultimate blend of power, speed, lightness and comfort.  The Colnago C60 showcases the heritage and technology mastered by Ernesto Colnago.

The main tubes of the Colnago C60 are star shaped similiar to the iconic steel Master frame.  This improves the torsion and laternal stiffness of the frame and at the same time improves comfort and stability.  And since the tubes are joined to lugs even custom made to measure frames can be built.  The down tube and bottom bracket are oversized to increase lateral stiffness and because of the greater surface area they can also reduce material and weight without loss of strength.  The asymetrical seat tube also increases lateral stiffness while reducing weight.  The seat stays and chain stays taper to a thin section at the drop outs in order to reduce shock and road vibrations and this results in less fatigue for the cyclist and also lighter weight.  All this technology has been tested in the laboratory and also the great road races of the world including Classics like Paris-Roubaix and the Grand Tours.  The Colnago C60 is also offered in disc version.  You can choose from 9 colors and the frame is offered in sloping and traditional geometry.  Consult the chart or come in for a fitting to determine your optimal size.

V1R

If your riding style requires the lightest frame then the V1R is the Colnago model for you.  This exciting bicycle is the lightest monocoque carbon frame in Colnago’s range.  Ernesto and his team work directly with Ferrari to maximize the strength to weight ratio of the carbon material.  This co-operation results in state of the art technology for carbon bicycles where they can create an ultralight frame but without sacrifice to strength, stiffness, performance and comfort.  All the tube shapes maximize aerodynamic properties and even the rear drop outs are carbon.  The result is a lightning quick bike with good stability and handling.  To showcase the Ferrari partnership each Colnago V1R frame comes with the Cavallino logo on the top tube.

If you are looking for the lightest complete bike maybe dress with a Sram Red group and some PMP RS04 alu clincher wheels.  The PMP wheels are the most durable and fool proof ultralight clincher wheels we have found.

MASTER

The Colnago Arabesque is a throwback to the glory days of the 1980s.  Now re-introduced with the ability to use modern components but still represent the classic look of the past.  The Arabesque is based on the star shaped steel tubes of the Master but with special lugset.  This Colnago gives the rider the choice to ride with classic retro downtube shifters or the modern componentry.  For sure the Colnago Arabesque is a collectible bike.

The Colnago Prestige is the cyclocross frame built to dominate this discipline.  After all the Prestige was ridden to a World Championship last year by Wout Van Aert.  The evolutionary improvements of the Prestige have created a powerful but agile bike with exceptional mud clearance.  The Prestige has flat mount disc brake system, internal cable routing and Shimano Thru Axle QR system.  The carbon monocoque frame design is the result of years of experience working with the best cross champions.
